  • Why are local flowers better?
Did you know that 80% of the cut flowers sold in the U.S. are imported from other countries? This means those flowers have traveled thousands of miles before they reach your table, often cut weeks before and treated with nasty chemicals and pesticides. Not only are they not going to last very long in the vase, but they are horrible for the environment and cause a domino effect of destruction. Supporting the local flower movement is not only better, but it is also very important. If you would like to learn more, please refer to our Local Flowers page at the top of this website where I share many resources with you.
  • Do you deliver?
Yes. We will deliver within a 15 mile radius of our farm for a small fee. Otherwise you can pick up your arrangements at our farm.
  • Is your farm open to the public?
Nope. Our farm is our home and while we will open our barn from time to time for special events and bouquet bars, we are not open without an invitation.
  • Do you do weddings?
We are happy to offer flowers for the special kind of bride who wants to DIY her own wedding, but we are not a wedding florist and honestly do not intend to be. We know our limits. That being said, if you are having a casual, micro wedding and your thing is local flowers and not huge elaborate arrangements full of flowers that aren't even in season, we can definitely work something out!
  • Do you accept orders for flowers?
Sometimes. We are a small family farm so we can only accept preordered arrangements on a limited basis. If you have an event that you would like flowers for, do not hesitate to reach out, but please understand that we harvest fresh from the field per order and need time to properly condition and arrange your flowers for you. This will give you the freshest blooms available, but it also means that all orders must be placed a minimum of 48 hours before they are needed, and only when ordering is open,* unless discussed much further in advance. *Ordering windows will be posted as they become available.
  • How do I care for my fresh flowers?
Make sure your flowers are kept out of direct sunlight (do not leave them in your car), have fresh water, and remove all spent blooms as they fade. We recommend that you change the water daily, or every other day at the bare minimum. Trim off about an inch of the stems whenever you change the water so the stems can properly hydrate. While we remove most of the foliage from the stem before your bouquets reach you, remove any leaves that fall below the water line of your vase.
  • Why is pick up after 3pm?
We have found that many of our customers stop by the flower cart on their way home from work. Instead of leaving the flowers out all day where we risk them being damaged by heat, severe weather or accidentally picked up by someone else, we decided on a late afternoon pick up for subscriptions. We are happy to accomodate a morning pick up if discussed prior to the start of your subscription.
  • How long are your Bouquet Subscriptions?
We offer a Spring, Summer and Fall subscription and each one is a short and sweet 4 weeks. We feel this works best to accomodate everyone's busy summer schedules. This also makes them more affordable and a great price point for gifting a bouquet subscription. If 4 weeks just isn't enough, you can absolutely sign up for more than one at once!
  • Can I pick up my flowers in the morning?
Absolutely. We just ask that we discuss and confirm this change prior to the start of your subscription.
  • Can I change my pick up day?
Unfortunately no. We have decided on our subscription day for many reasons and this was done many months in advance. This decision dictates crop plans, farm duties, harvest plans, employee schedules, vacations, family life and other schedules and considerations. We do not come up with these dates and decisions arbitrarily and unfortunately cannot be flexible for one customer and not expect others to ask for the same. We all need clear boundaries in life and this is one of ours.
  • What if I cannot pick up my flowers one week?
If you cannot accept one of your bouquets you have a few options. You can ask a friend to pick up your flowers for you. You can gift your bouquet to someone (they must pick it up as well). If given at least 48 hours notice you may skip ONE bouquet and exchange it for a bouquet that you will pick up from our flower cart on a Friday that we were already scheduled to be open. We realize that things come up, but we ask that you please be considerate and keep in mind that your flowers are harvested and arranged specifically for you so when you just do not show up, our time and flowers are wasted. We cannot replace your bouquet for no-shows. *You can only exchange if given 48 hours notice that you are unable to pick up that week.
  • What is the size of the weekly bouquet?
Our subscription members are extremely important to us and this is reflected in our bouquet design. Members come first and will always receive the best of what we have available on our farm. If you are familiar with what we have available at our flower cart, you can expect a subscription bouquet to include twice the amount of flowers. This will be on average about 20 or more stems of focal flowers, accent flowers and foliage.
  • Do you deliver bouquet subscriptions?
Unfortunately we have temporarily decided to suspend weekly deliveries for our subscription members until we can justify the cost in fuel and the time it takes to drop off the flowers. We understand that this may turn some customers away, but until we can increase the amount of weekly subscriptions we can offer, delivery to just a few is not worth the time, cost and headache without charging more than we are comfortable with in order to accommodate deliveries. We did not make this decision lightly. We had to learn the hard way in 2022 that we are too small of a farm to accommodate weekly deliveries at this time.
  • Why is pick up on Wednesday?
It is simply what works best for our farm and our family. The flowers need to be harvested and conditioned within a certain timeframe so that we can give you the freshest flowers possible, while also spacing out our workload between subscriptions and the flower cart. We also feel that a mid week pick up will satisfy those who wish to still have flowers on the weekend while also allowing those who are rarely home on the weekend time to enjoy their flowers.
  • What days will the flower cart be out?
We plan to open the cart every Friday throughout the growing season. This obviously depends on the weather and there may be times when we are unable to open for one reason or another, but the plan is to be open every Friday from 8am-8pm unless the cart sells out earlier. Please always check our social media pages before heading over if you are traveling from a distance.
  • How do we pay for our flowers at the flower cart?
We accept cash and venmo at our self-serve flower cart.
  • When will the cart open for the season?
Our cart will open as soon as we have enough flowers in the spring. The best way to be notified is to sign up for our newsletter and or follow us on social media.
